About Sunny Kitchen
Sunny Kitchen went online in the Fall of 2000.
We've been living in upstate New York for about 35 years. We had been building websites for several years before we started Sunny Kitchen, but we wanted to merge our website expertise with our interest in promoting the local economy, so a shopping website seemed like a good idea.
We couldn't think of a better line of products to start with than the fine hardwood kitchen furniture from the folks at Catskill Craftsmen. Their products are beautifully designed and made, plus, because they come ready-to-assemble, their prices are extremely attractive.
For over 50 years, Catskill has been a manufacturer of outstanding domestic hardwood products. Today Catskill is the nation's leading manufacturer of ready-to-assemble (RTA) hardwood kitchen carts, islands, and workcenters.
Another reason we started with Catskill Craftsmen is because of their customer service. They stand behind their products 100%. And they ship promptly, which enable us to offer factory-direct shipping to you, which means further savings.
As we entered our fourth year of business, in November 2003, we added an exciting new line of kitchen furniture produced by Home Styles, a division of DMI Furniture, Inc. Featuring many well-made stainless steel countertop models and wooden countertop models, as well as some lovely kitchen cupboards, these products are welcome by all our customers.
In 2004, we introduced another excellent product line: Michael Scott.
In recent years, there have been some large companies that have entered the Internet marketplace, aggressively trying to squeeze out the little Mom-and-Pop websites like us at Sunny Kitchen. So far, they've been unsuccessful at doing so with us, most likely because of the great word-of-mouth advertising we have gained over the years and the emphasis we place on customer service. For example, just compare our Returns Policy with some of our competitors, and you will see what we mean.
Furthermore, because we are a small company, we value our personal relationship with you, our customer. We try to put ourselves "in your shoes" when we make changes to our website. That's the main reason we opened our "Ideas" section — hoping it can give you valuable insight before you make your purchase.
